Rory Tilt is an electronic synthesist and musician from the Scottish countryside currently based in Glasgow. On his Dead Definition debut “Tape Shaping,” Rory Tilt offers three patiently crafted improvisations built using modular synthesizers and recorded directly to reel-to-reel tape. His approach to ambient is dreamlike yet articulate, showcasing extraordinary strengths in both composition and timbre design.
